JL Audio C1 Range

For those who value substance and great audio performance… C1 is the real deal at a very sweet price!

Benefiting from our expertise in building world-class subwoofer drivers, the woofers in C1 components and coaxials are engineered to get loud, while maintaining smooth, dynamic, low distortion sound. Each C1 woofer driver employs a purpose-built frame design, equipped with a DMA-optimized motor system, and mineral-filled, injection-molded, polypropylene cones. A rubber surround with advanced rear suspension designs and integrated lead wires ensure precise voice coil control for improved sound quality and enhanced reliability.

C1 speakers also use real aluminum dome tweeters with silk suspensions for refined high-frequency performance and improved response. Coaxial models are equipped with true, 2nd order high-pass filters on-board, for smooth, accurate treble reproduction and low distortion. Component systems include in-line, outboard 2nd order high-pass filters, with Advanced Tweeter Protection Circuitry. Surface and flush mount fixtures are also standard with C1 component tweeters.

To ensure good fit into most vehicles, we offer a wide range of C1 sizes, all with moderate depths and minimal tweeter protrusions, to install neatly in to most factory speaker locations, behind factory grilles.

JL Audio C7

JL Audio's Chief Engineer and CEO, Lucio Proni, set the bar at the highest level, with a clear mission to create our finest-ever automotive component speakers. Under his direction, engineering resources were assigned to develop each C7 speaker as a clean-sheet design, optimized for car audio applications.

C7 design solutions were created and refined using JL AUDIO's powerful mechanical and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) modeling systems, including our proprietary Dynamic Motor Analysis (DMA) software. These studies led to innovative motor and suspension solutions, which were key to meeting the C7 design goals for smooth, off-axis response, dynamic stability and low distortion.

No detail, material or design element went unexamined in each of the C7 speakers: from the exotic, corundum ceramic-coated diaphragm of the C7 tweeter, to the intricately machined motor plates of the C7 midrange, which significantly improve linearity. Even seemingly small details were engineered with a great deal of thought-like the way the C7-350cm's specially engineered lead wires attach to the rear suspension to prevent noise, without damaging the spider material's integrity. The C7-650cw woofer's dust cap went through ten prototype generations before arriving at the solution that resulted in the smoothest high frequency response and the best mechanical integrity. These details, and hundreds of others like them, simply had to be perfect for the design team to approve them for the C7 drivers.

We expect that C7 system designers will seek to avoid technical compromises, so we have designed C7 for use with active crossovers. A high-quality DSP, such as the JL Audio TwK™ 88/ D8, with individual amplifier channels for each C7 are the recommended architecture for peak performance. With this approach, the system designer can use delay, crossover parameters and precise equalization to adjust for speaker placement, cabin acoustics and target response.

This leads to a spectacular musical presentation, easily exceeding the performance boundaries of typical, high-end, car audio speaker systems. When you listen to C7, you will hear a level of resolution, precision and imaging that suspends disbelief, opening a window to an intensely pure audio experience.

JL Audio C3600

2-Way Convertible Component / Coaxial System: 6-inch (150 mm) Woofer, 1-inch (25 mm) Silk Dome Tweeter

There are times when an installation calls for a separate woofer and tweeter and other times when a coaxial is the better approach. With the Evolution® C3 Convertible Component Systems, the same product can be deployed in either configuration, delivering outstanding audio power and quality in each application.

The new C3-600 expands the C3 lineup with a direct-fit product for many Japanese vehicles that will not accept a full-size 6.5-inch speaker.

The C3-600 system features 6-inch (150 mm) component woofers with oversized 1.2-inch (30.5 mm) voice coils, mineral-filled polypropylene cones and injection-molded polymer baskets. The woofer design benefits from JL Audio's vast woofer design experience and advanced modeling systems.

The C3 tweeters are built with 1-inch silk dome diaphragms that deliver powerful, extended response, on and off axis. Flush-mounting and surface-mounting fixtures are included to fit a wide variety of installation needs. They can also be mounted onto the woofers in a coaxial format using the included fixtures.

C3 crossover networks are compact and built with premium component parts, including Mylar® capacitors and segmented air-core inductors. Four levels of tweeter attenuation are provided, as well as three levels of mid-range presence adjustment, for twelve possible voicing combinations!

Woofer grilles are included, each consisting of a black grille tray and a black steel mesh grille with an electroformed JL Audio logo.

Kicker HS10

Bigger bass for your small space

When Kicker created the original Hideaway™ compact HS8 powered sub, they wanted to make a subwoofer that could fit almost anywhere and still deliver the performance that made Kicker famous. The HS10 sub adds the extra punch of a 10" speaker and a built-in 180-watt amplifier to give you really impressive bass response from a sub that will still fit almost anywhere.

Tough and adjustable

With a Kicker 10" woofer, you can expect serious low end, and you can install the HS10 under most seats to bring the bass right up close. The tough all-aluminum chassis and stylish metal grille protect the speaker and deliver great sound. High- and low-level inputs give you plenty of options for hooking up your sub, and the HS10 can accept input signals from 0.25 to 40 volts so it works with almost any vehicle without adding a line output converter.

Dial in your sound

The Hideaway includes an adjustable low-pass crossover, a subsonic filter to improve efficiency, a phase switch, and a variable +6 dB bass boost adjustable with the included remote control bass knob. The HS10 also offers two auto turn-on options. The package includes a wiring harness for power, signal and remote turn-on connections with a quick-connect Molex® plug to make installation simple.
