New Setup:
The customer expressed a desire to retain the factory radio while upgrading the entire sound system for a significantly enhanced audio experience. To achieve this, we meticulously replaced the front speakers with high-end German components from Eton, which dramatically altered the sound dynamics, making them notably sharper and allowing the mids and highs to truly shine. In the rear of the vehicle, we installed the Alpine Status 6.5-inch coaxial speakers to provide a harmonious balance throughout the rear cabin space.
Additionally, we designed and built a custom amplifier rack, securely mounted on the rear passenger wall behind the back seats, to accommodate the Helix 6-channel DSP amplifier and the Match 1FX monoblock amp. This setup powers the entire system in an active configuration. To further enhance the audio output, a custom subwoofer enclosure that fits a Audio Control 10-inch shallow sub behind the driver's seat. This addition provides substantial bottom-end response, which was so powerful that we had to adjust the gain to match the speakers.
Furthermore, the vehicle was treated to three layers of sound dampening material on all four doors, as well as on the rear wall behind the back seat. This was essential to eliminate any rattling that could arise from the power of the subwoofer. We also applied Biplast sound dampening to the rear plastics, which tend to vibrate under the pressure of the bass, making a significant difference in the overall sound quality and clarity.

Upgrade Details:
These new Isuzu D-Max vehicles come equipped with a factory sound system that has a notably flat sound profile, which wasn't quite sufficient for our discerning customer. As a passionate music lover, he expressed a strong desire for a sound experience that was not only loud but also maintained clarity and detail even at high volumes. To achieve this, we meticulously put together a complete audio package. We chose to install 6.5-inch component speakers in the front stage, which are well-known for delivering intricate details that a 6x9 speaker simply cannot match. Running the entire sound system actively through the Helix M 6 DSP allowed us to finely tune all speaker frequencies and adeptly stage the sound in the front center, a feat that the factory head unit simply would not permit.
Additionally, the rear fill is enhanced by Alpine Status speakers, which provide impressive mid-bass that complements the audio experience. To further elevate this sound quality, we applied sound dampening to the doors, which significantly enhances the clarity and richness of the sound coming from all the speakers. The two amplifiers were neatly mounted on a custom amp rack situated on the rear wall behind the back seat, ensuring the installation remained clean. Completing this setup was a Custom 10-inch subwoofer box from OZ Audio, housing a high-performing 10-inch sub from AudioControl. This subwoofer surprisingly offers outstanding bass output and effectively hits those deep low notes. It fits comfortably behind the back seat with only minor modifications to the plastic trim, truly helping to enhance and complete the entire audio system experience in this vehicle.
