Upgrade Details:
This brand new 70 series vehicle arrived with the intent of upgrading the quite basic audio system that was initially installed in his brand new car. The factory speakers, which were rather small, were situated only in the dash and consequently, the system really lacked in volume, bass, and clarity. While the head unit did feature CarPlay, it had a smaller screen that was not particularly responsive. Upgrading it to a larger screen not only made it easier to view but also allowed us to incorporate wireless Apple CarPlay and Wireless Android Auto, enhancing the user experience significantly. This particular project was quite labor-intensive, as the sound deadening and speaker installation alone took a total of 1.5 days to complete properly. However, the results were exceptionally rewarding; now there’s plenty of bass, mids, and highs, and the rear speakers provide a surround sound experience. Additionally, this Alpine kit included USB charging ports in each door and provided extra storage space, which is always a practical benefit. We opted not to add an amplifier to this specific setup since the customer preferred not to go overboard. Nonetheless, he was absolutely thrilled with the incredible upgrade in bass and the overall sound quality that this enhancement provided.
